If you are a fortnite fan and want to experience some form of the game in real life then I have a very good news for you. Hasbro has released a blaster that is based on Fortnite theme and have great features that will make your dreams come to life.
The Nerf Fortnite SP-L blaster is a pistol blaster and its performance is right on point. Hasbro blended two of the most adults’ worst addictions into one and provided us with this Nerf Fortnite blaster that gives us the touch of the fortnite as well as the blaster. When you examine the quality and performance of this blaster, you realize it is one of the best blasters and manufacturers have done areally good job at designing and assembling it.
You can play an hour or even 2 long game with this blaster. The jamming or lagging are alien to this blaster and you can go on and on with the shootings and have unlimited fun.
In the following guide, I will be writing a detailed review of this blaster and explain all its features in great detail. This will help you make up your mind about this blaster and learn about its features in detail.
How Does Nerf Fortnite SP Function?
Hasbro introduced the Nerf Fortnite SP-L blaster in the Spring of 2019. It is a pistol style blaster and Hasbro introduced this to promote the Fortnite game, and succeeded at that.
The blaster is spring-powered and has a slide action priming system. The slide action mechanism is very fun to operate and very advantegous as there are minimal chances of the player facing the lagging or the jamming issue. If you order this blaster from Amazon, it will be at your doorstep in a few days. Amazon has amazingly fast delivery service and also has a re-fund policy. It never disappoints its customers. I order all my blasters and other gaming equipments from Amazon.
When you receive the package, you will find one Nerf Fortnite SP blaster, 6 Fortnite darts, an instructions manual, and a barrel. These are all the required accessroies for assembling your Nerf Fortnite blaster. Moreover, this blaster comes in 3 different colors so you can choose a color as per your liking. The main color of the Nerf Fortnite SP blaster is yellow, and brown is its secondary color.
Apart from these main colors, you can also get the Nerf Fortnite SP-R in black or blue colors. Moreover, the extra fancy Nerf Fortnite blaster is in transparent purple and blue color. The most interesting thing about this blaster is that for practice shooting, this blaster’s package also contains 3 small Ilama targets.
This is very thoughtful of Hasbro to add these practice shots in the package so newbie players can practice before entering the arena for a final game.
Now lets dive into the detailed meaning of the name of this iconic blaster. The name Nerf Fortnite SP-L refers to “Suppressed Pistol Legendary” and this is the name of the original Fortnite themed based blaster from which the Nerf Fortnite SP is inspired from.
The model Fortnite SP-R stands for the “Rare’ version of the same original model and it is blue in color.
Nerf Fortnite SP-L Pistol Features:
In the following section, I will be discussing each feature of this blaster in great detail. This way you will learn about the good points and drawbacks of this blaster and know whether this works for you or not.

Design:
First of all, let us talk about the design of the blaster. If you are a regular player of Fortnite game, you must be accustomed to the downers we feel once we have to quit the game and come back into reality. It just does not feel right, right? And I believe the designers of this blaster were also accustomed to that feeling.
This is why they decided to do something brilliant with the design. They have done an awesome job by creating a smoothly functional blaster that has the same great looks as the weapon in the video game. The Suppressed Weapon in the Fortnite game is actually a pistol, but has an additionally long and a flared barrel. Hasbro has also successfully incorporated this feature into this Fortnite blaster so it looks cool and chunky and gives off the same vibe as the pistol in the game does.
When you remove the barrel of the blaster, the Fortnite blaster then looks like a standard sidearm pistol that is lightweight and easy to carry around. This pistol is also easy to shoot either with one hand or both. The grip of the pistol has a great army camo texture that is neat looking, and also gives a decent grip to the hand.
The only downside, which actually is not a downside but might put you off nonetheless, is the large Fortnite logo on the side of the blaster. But then again, it will not bother you a bit if you are a true Fortnite fan.

The Barrel:
One of the best and coolest features of Fortnite blaster is the barrel. The barrel of this blaster is detachable and the way it is designed, you can shoot in two modes.
It is also a perfect blaster for long distance shots, and for the close range games, you can simply pack it up as a nifty sidearm pistol. As the barrel of the pistol in the game has a conical shape, the Fortnite blaster has the same one. Whereas it does not have any functional value for the blaster, but it does not make the shooting difficult or worse either.
There is a tiny additional feature in this blaster. A Nerf N-Strike attachment that helps the barrel lock onto the pistol, which is also very common with numerous other blasters in case you want to match and mix different barrels.

The Priming:
The internal magazine’s capacity to hold a certain number of darts or shooting balls and the ease to prime the blaster are two most important features in any Nerf blaster. The best part is that Hasbro has not failed even one of its blasters with these two features and has always done a great job. The Nerf Fortnite SP blaster is a spring powered and has an internal magazine that has the capacity to hold up to 3 Fortnite darts. You can also use Elite darts instead of Fortnite darts.
The only difference between the elute and the fortnite darts is that of looks, otherwise both are essentially the same. When you prime the blaster, the whole top section of the blaster slides backand reveals the internal magazine that you can reload. Feeding the rounds into the chamber of internal magazine is also very smooth and easy process. To protect the rounds from falling out, there are flaps on the blaster that provide the requisite restriction.
In case the blaster jams or get stuck, there is a tiny button located on the side of the blaster and it helps with jamming and lagging issues. When I was testing this blaster, I did not face any jamming problem so I did not use the button. From priming to loading and firing, all the processes of this blaster work very smoothly. So I do not think you will need to use the button in any case.

Firing Mechanism:
During my test sessions, I notcied the firing velocity capacity to be around 70 feet per second which is not bad for any blaster, albeit it is not too ideal as well. Hasbro advertises the same firing velocity for this blaster. Again, this firing speed is pretty good for a pistol style blaster, but not too outstanding.
The detachable barrel of the blaster is also for aesthetic purposes only as it does not help with ibncreasing the firing velocity or any shooting mechanism.The Nerf Fortnite is a single fire blaster and it lacks the slam fire option. If you are more into the slam firing mode, then this blaster might not be the ideal one for you.
But it does not mean that the lack of one simple feature is the deal-breaker, because although it has a single fire option only, you can shoot up to 3 rounds quickly, smoothly, and with great precision. So even if the blaster is lacking somewhere, it has plenty other features making up for the lack of those missing ones. So it is still a reasonable deal as per my opinion.
Bottom Line:
